VAL Assistant

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 8, 2026

VAL Assistant ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that suggests comments and replies for LinkedIn posts in your voice. It only ever suggests text for you to copy — it never posts, sends, or submits anything on your behalf.

This policy explains exactly what data the extension touches and what (very little) is stored.

What the extension does with post text

When you click "Suggest" on a post (or "Reply all" on your own post), the text of that post and its comments is sent to our service to generate suggestions:

What we collect and store

We store one thing, and only if you choose to share it:

That's the only personal data we store. We do not collect your name separately, your email, your password, your contacts, your browsing history, or the content of your posts and comments.

What stays on your device

Your extension settings (such as how many suggestions to show, and any custom voice you set) are stored locally in your browser only, using Chrome's storage. They are not sent to us.
